CONSUMER CONFIDENCE CONTINUES TO CLIMB IN DECEMBER

(ANSA) – Rome, December 23 – Consumer confidence rose again this month and reached its highest level of the year and its highest since mid-2002, the Treasury’s economic think-tank reported ion Wednesday. The Institute for Economic Study and Analysis (ISAE) said its composite consumer confidence index climbed from 112.8 points in November to 113.7 points this month, one tenth of a percentage point above the previous high for the year set in September
